Born and raised in upstate New York, Dave started burning through film at age 11 despite pleas from his parents to stop.  He amassed piles of worthless pictures until he actually learned how to shoot at a residency program at the Maine Photo Workshops.  From there he actually got paid to take pictures in college as a photographer and editor at the Daily Orange at Syracuse University.  After college he worked for Hampton’s Magazine as staff photographer and then UPI.

Upon hitting one of those inevitable Y's in the road,  he took an opportunity at a small snowboard company and spent the next 17 years helping to build Burton Snowboards into a global powerhouse in winter sports as VP of sales.   After Burton he helped launch two more companies before a desire to get back into photography professionally overpowered him.

Dave shoots for a variety of clients including a Stowe Mountain Resort, Whiteface Ski Resort, Gore Mountain Resort, Epic One and others.  He also freelances with the Burlington Free Press.   In his remaining time he consults for a small photo equipment company.

He is available for assignments anywhere.

Editors/Art Directors:  Portfolio book available on request.
